2010

This is January 3 2010. I welcome it partly because I am glad to have December gone. As joyful as December can be and we did have some great moments, it was painful. A dear old friend lost her only daughter in a car accident, the lady who hired me died after a long painful struggle with cancer, another friend fell ill at Thanksgiving and passed on New Years Eve. It could be part of getting older but it doesn't make it easier. Then I have had my old persons Shingles and I know I shouldn't complain but it does crazy things to my head! So with all of that behind I will look ahead and as always hope for the best.
Brad Smith just had a terrific run on Sunday Night Football so I guess all is right with the world and maybe New Orleans will win the Super Bowl!

Christmas 2009 part III

Hard to believe I might forget this one but I am going to write it all down anyway!
We had a lovely Christmas Eve with Mark and family. Joy and Allsion outdid themselves with a Leg of Lamb dinner. After gifts we watched The Christmas Story and that is our Christmas Eve tradition.

We didn't put up a tree or many decorations this year
but Santa did find a spot for our gifts and we had a lovely Christmas morning. It turned out to be a good thing it was simple this year as I was still not back to normal.

But we still went to Illinois for Christmas ar Home! Because of the snow not everyone made it this year and that was disappointing. But it was good and that is Christmas tradition!

So Christmas 2009 has come and gone. The next one seems so far away and yet soon this one will be a distant memory!
